Cancellations

Classes, Workshops, & Retreats
Weather-Related: When Glen Lake Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather, GAAC classes are canceled. GAAC will do Its best to provide a make-up opportunity for the missed class. Refunds will not be given if the student cannot attend the rescheduled class session. Workshops and one-time classes will be handled on a per-class basis.

Minimum Enrollment: Glen Arbor Arts Center reserves the right to cancel any class or multi-day, sequential-day workshop that does not meet its minimum student enrollment before the first class session. If GAAC cancels a class for lack of registration, GAAC will offer a full refund to the student in the manner in which tuition was paid (Cash payments will be refunded by check). Please be aware that GAAC is not responsible for losses incurred due to housing, travel, or other arrangements.

Refunds

Classes, Workshops, Retreats, & Open Studio
We understand that your plans might change. If they do, notify the GAAC office as soon as possible.

One-day classes, workshops, & retreats: Requests for cancellation by the student at least seven (7) days before the first day will be honored (minus a $20 processing fee). NO REFUNDS will be given for a student cancellation made less than seven (7) days before.

Multi-day classes, workshops, & retreats: Requests for cancellation by the student at least fourteen (14) days before the first day will be honored (minus a $20 processing fee). NO REFUNDS will be given for a student cancellation made less than fourteen (14) days before the first day.

Open Studio: Requests for cancellation before participation in the first session used and before the last registration deadline will be honored (minus a $20 processing fee). NO REFUNDS will be given (full or prorated) after participation in a session or after the last registration deadline.

There will be no refunds for any class, workshop, or retreat that includes an art supply kit to be shipped or picked up.

Concerts, Performances, Lectures, & Presentations
All sales are final.

Application Fees
GAAC will attempt to notify applicants by email if their application submitted was not accepted. There will be no refunds for any accepted or non-accepted application fees.

Artwork
All sales are final (includes auction items).

Merchandise
Merchandise orders may be canceled and refunded before the item has shipped. All sales are final after the item has shipped.

Plein Air Weekend Artist Registration
For cancellations, a full refund will be given (minus a $10 processing fee) up to seven (7) days before the event date. There is no refund after that.

Child Pick Up

All youth class or camp sessions end promptly at the close of the class or camp. Parents are considered late if the child has not been picked up by 10 minutes after the close of the class or camp (regardless of the reason). Any parent arriving late will be charged a fee of $10 per child for every 1-minute increment or fraction thereof. If GAAC staff or teacher cannot reach the emergency contact listed on the child’s health form, the staff or teacher will notify authorities for any remaining students past 1 hour of the close of the class or camp. Repeated lateness will result in dismissal from the program and no refunds will be issued. Payment for late fees is due within 24 hours of the date of late pickup.

Shipping

Merchandise
All orders are typically processed and shipped within 1-3 business days. We ship all items (including concert tickets) via the United States Postal Service. Tracking numbers for merchandise are available upon request by calling our office at 231-334-6112.

Virtual Exhibit Artwork
All artwork purchased that is in the custody of the artist shall be shipped by the artist (third-party) directly. The GAAC shall inform the artist of the sale and provide contact information to both artist and buyer to arrange the shipping. Payment for the shipping cost shall be paid by the buyer and given directly to the artist. The shipping cost is determined by the artist and agreed upon by the buyer. Shipping costs may include shipping service, packaging, and handling. The GAAC is not liable for any harm or damages related to the shipping made in connection with any third party. Please carefully review the third-party’s shipping practices and ensure you understand them before engaging in any transaction. Complaints, claims, concerns, or questions regarding third-party shipping should be directed to the third party.

Gallery Exhibit Artwork
All artwork purchased remains in the possession of the Glen Arbor Arts Center until the end of the exhibition. After that, the purchaser may pick up the purchased artwork or ship it by the GAAC using a commercial shipping service. The GAAC will contact the buyer for payment of the shipping cost in a separate transaction if the buyer chooses to have the artwork shipped. The commercial shipper determines the shipping cost, including shipping service, packaging, handling, and insurance. The GAAC is not liable for any harm or damages related to the shipping. Complaints, claims, concerns, or questions regarding third-party shipping should be directed to the third party.
