October After School Art Grades 5-8

An event every week that begins at 4:00pm on Wednesday, repeating until October 24, 2018
After School Art returns to the Glen Arbor Arts Center in October with projects and lessons that take elementary and middle school children to other cultures and countries.
A snack and art supplies are included in the $50 for all four sessions. Tuition assistance is available. Pre-registration is required by Monday, October 1. Transportation to the GAAC is available via the Glen Lake School bus. Parents must complete and return to the Glen Lake Schools a permission form, which is available here.
Sarah Cheek-Toomey holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education with a minor in Visual Arts from Michigan State University. She earned a Master of Science in Ecological Teaching and Learning from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA in 2007. She has spent the past 15 years in public education; most recently teaching elementary art while also serving as the Art Coordinator for Kalamazoo Public Schools.
After School Art lessons are offered monthly at the GAAC through April.
Classes for grades 5-8 students are October 3, 10, 17, and 24 from 4- 5:30 pm.
