Glen Arbor Art Association

The GAAA, serving the Glen Lake area in Leelanau County, offers year-round enriching art and entertainment experiences for all. The Manitou Music Festival, a series of concerts in July and August, features a variety of musical genres in outdoor settings including the renowned Dune Climb Concert in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Art classes are offered for both adults and children at all experience levels taught in beautiful settings by experienced instructors. Art gallery exhibits, and a Paint Out week-end are offered during the summer and fall seasons. Readers’ Theater and Talk About Art provide entertainment and artist talks during the off-season months. Artists may apply to our Artist-in-Residence program which provides two-week residencies for artistic development.

Since 1983 many artists and art supporters have been pooling their ideas and energy to make this vibrant organization an important part of the fabric of the Glen Lake community. The original vision continues to expand, evolve and progress, while staying true to the goal of making the arts accessible to all. New members, volunteers, and visitors are always welcome.
