Dunes Review

The Glen Arbor Art Association is proud to publish the Dunes Review — Literary Journal of Northern Michigan in conjunction with Michigan Writers, Inc and the Beach Bards, also of Glen Arbor.

The Dunes Review Writing Project is a nonprofit, volunteer effort designed to promote regional writing and raise consciousness about Northern Michigan writers. Publishing dates for the Dunes Review are December 1 and June 1.

• Poetry, essay and short fiction submissions are accepted year-round. No submission fee is necessary. Contributors receive two complimentary copies of the magazine.

• The William J. Shaw Memorial Prize for Poetry submission deadline is October 15. There is a $10.00 reader’s fee for Shaw contest submissions.

• The Anne-Marie Oomen Prize for High School Poetry deadline is April 15. There is no reader’s fee for this contest.

• Both contests are open to Michigan residents living north of Highway 10.

• Submissions should include an SASE and cover letter providing name, address, telephone number, e-mail and title of poem. EMAIL SUBMISSIONS ARE HUGELY ENCOURAGED.

SUBSCRIPTIONS

Members of the Glen Arbor Art Association and Michigan Writers may receive the Dunes Review at the rate of $12 a year, which is $4 off the cover price. Subscriptions may be purchased through the editor of the Dunes Review.
